CryoRF Project Kicked-Off

CryoRF project – cryogenic RF measurements

The CryoRF project has officially kicked off, bringing together expertise in cryogenic radiofrequency measurements to support the development of next-generation quantum and semiconductor technologies.

The project aims to advance traceable and accurate RF characterisation at cryogenic temperatures, with a particular focus on S-parameter measurements, RF power, and noise characterisation. Measurement systems and calibration techniques will be developed for devices and on-wafer quantum circuits operating at temperatures down to 4 K and frequencies up to 40 GHz. Cryogenic noise measurements will also be addressed across the 0.5–18 GHz frequency range.

By improving measurement capabilities at ultra-low temperatures, CryoRF will contribute to the reliable characterisation of devices used in quantum computing, cryo-electronics, and semiconductor technologies.

We are pleased to be part of this collaborative effort and look forward to contributing to the project’s research and development activities.
